Take off to the barndo, eh.
A finished-basement vibe in a barndominium just outside Cumberland. Pinball, real-glass pints, a wood stove in the corner, the dog by the door. The good kind of nowhere-special.
Black Knight (Williams, 1980)
Steve Ritchie's magna-save classic. Two-level playfield, that growling speech synthesizer, the most satisfying lock shot of the era. Doug paid too much. Worth it.
Funhouse (Williams, 1990)
Pat Lawlor at the height of his powers. Wake Rudy up, find the trap door, hit the clock as it strikes midnight. Yes, the owner talks back to him.
Eight Ball Deluxe (Bally, 1981)
Billiards meets Fonz-era cool. Iconic backglass, deep ruleset, the table that taught a generation what a multiball was supposed to feel like.
“It's the rec room your buddy's dad had in 1987, except the beer is better and the carpet doesn't smell.”
